1980〜90年代のヴィンテージ着物生地を3種類組み合わせて仕立てた
一点もののScampiジャケット。

UMUIならではの「静かな柄のパターンクラッシュ」をテーマに、
大島紬や紬織を再構築しました。

前身頃には、亀甲文様が印象的なモノトーンの大島紬を使用。
背面には優雅な花柄の大島紬を配し、袖には花菱文様の紬織を組み合わせることで
さりげないコントラストと奥行きを生み出しています。

亀甲文様には「長寿」や「厄除け」、
花菱文様には「繁栄」や「美しさ」への願いが込められています。

軽やかな着心地の紬シルクは、ヴィンテージ着物ならではのさらりとした風合いが魅力。

そのため、新品の生地とは異なり、小さな傷や穴、シミ、補修跡が見られる場合があります。
また、生地を無駄なく活かすため、丈や幅に少しずつ個体差があります。

一点もののため、返品・交換はお受けしておりません。
ヴィンテージ素材ならではの個性や風合いをご理解いただいた上で、ご購入をお願いいたします。

基本的にはドライクリーニングをおすすめしておりますが、
おしゃれ着用洗剤を使用し、ご家庭でやさしくお洗濯していただくことも可能です。

（染色生地のため多少の色落ちや、ヴィンテージ特有の傷・穴などが広がる可能性があります。あらかじめご了承ください。）
ご家庭で洗う際は、手洗い、または洗濯ネットに入れて40℃以下の水でやさしく洗ってください。
乾燥機は使用せず、アイロンは当て布をして中温で軽くプレスしてください。

私たちも普段は自宅でやさしく洗濯し、スチームアイロンで仕上げています。
新品のようにシワを伸ばしきるのではなく、ヴィンテージ生地ならではの自然な風合いを大切にしています。

Crafted from three different vintage kimono textiles dating from the 1980s–90s, this one-of-a-kind Scampi Jacket embodies UMUI's signature concept of "quiet pattern clash."

By combining Oshima Tsumugi and traditional Tsumugi silk weaves, the jacket balances heritage craftsmanship with a clean, contemporary silhouette.

The front features monochrome Oshima Tsumugi woven with the traditional Kikkō (tortoiseshell) motif. The back showcases an elegant floral Oshima Tsumugi, while the sleeves are crafted from Tsumugi silk featuring the classic Hanabishi pattern.

Together, these three textiles create subtle contrast, depth, and harmony without overwhelming the eye.

Lightweight Tsumugi silk offers the crisp, breathable texture unique to vintage kimono, making this jacket comfortable to wear throughout the year.

CARE

• Professional dry cleaning recommended.
• Alternatively, hand wash with a delicate detergent or machine wash on a gentle cycle using a laundry bag with water below 40°C (104°F).
• Because this garment is made from vintage dyed fabric, slight color transfer or additional wear may occur during home washing.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Iron on a medium setting using a pressing cloth.

We personally care for our own UMUI garments by gently washing them at home and finishing them with a garment steamer. Rather than pressing every wrinkle flat, we embrace the natural texture that gives vintage textiles their unique character.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted from authentic vintage kimono that have been unstitched, cleaned, and reconstructed into a completely new design.

Because these textiles have lived a previous life, small imperfections such as tiny holes, marks, stains, repairs, or subtle signs of age may be present.

To make full use of each vintage textile, slight variations in length and width may occur from one garment to another. These subtle differences are part of what makes every UMUI piece unique.

As each garment is one of a kind, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges.
